Dynasty fantasy football has its own vocabulary. This glossary covers every major term with clear definitions and practical context.

A

ADP (Average Draft Position)The average pick at which a player is selected across all dynasty drafts. When ADP diverges significantly from value, it signals the player is overvalued or undervalued by the market.

Age CurveThe typical career arc of a player at a given position. RBs peak earliest (22-26) and decline fastest. WRs have longer windows (24-28 peak). QBs can produce into their mid-30s. TEs peak later than other skill positions (25-29).

All-Play RecordA record showing how a team would have done playing every other team each week. Often used as a playoff seeding tiebreaker and is a better indicator of roster quality than head-to-head record.

Auction DraftA draft format where managers bid salary cap dollars to acquire players rather than selecting in pick order.

B

Best BallA format where your lineup sets automatically each week using your highest-scoring players. Rewards roster depth and boom/bust upside over consistent-but-capped players.
